In 2007, St Croix Cleaners ‘ironed out’ a new way of doing dry cleaning, leading the way for many and what is now, commonly referred to as, “Eco-Friendly Dry Cleaning”. St Croix Cleaners was the first in Washington County to exclusively use Eco-Friendly cleaning methods, free of harsh chemicals.
Many dry cleaners use harsh chemicals such as Perc (the old dry cleaning method) but at St Croix Cleaners, our toxin-free solvents and detergents are gentler to your clothes, leaving them softer, brighter and lasting longer.
Not only did we remove all hazardous and toxic cleaning products from our operation, and installed a water circulation system, effectively recycling and reusing the water supply in our dry cleaning plant; but, we also recycle hangers and were the first in the Midwest to implement the use of bio-degradable plastic bags! St Croix Cleaners is dedicated to doing our part in preserving the environment.
